University Council

Strategic responsibility for all issues relating to higher education law lies with the University Council of Kalaidos UAS. It decides on matters from the fields of goals and main topics of education and research, human resources, quality management, marketing, service provision and organisation. It also has extensive decision-making powers on issues that directly affect the quality of education and research.

University Conference

Operational responsibility for all higher education law matters lies with the heads for each department, the Head of Quality and Development, the Chief Financial and Operating Officer and the Head of Applied Research & Development (R&D). Together they form the University Conference.

Organisation and operational management

The general rector of the Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences is Prof. Dr. José Gomez. The vice-rectors are Prof. Breitenmoser, Prof. Elena Pintarelli and Prof. Dr. Christian Fichter. The general rector receives his mandate from the Kalaidos education group. His tasks include, in particular, business and financial management of the Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences. In addition, the alignment of the range of services to future environmental developments and the resulting market opportunities. He is also responsible  for the operation and development of the quality management system and the representation of Kalaidos UAS in  relevant organizations and committees.

In addition to the general rector, the school management includes the vice-rectors, the head of quality and school development and the chief financial operating officer. The rector can involve other members of the university.
